Fifteen stripes and fifteen stars. You must be very far from home. Wish I had time to play, but I have to go to a wedding.

EVERYTHING's easy for the guy who doesn't have to do it.

Good Jim, you've narrowed down the time period.

Now for today's clue:

When the VoD slept here, it was by peaceful scenic beaches.

Well.....Kentucky was admited into the US in 1792 as the 15th state.....

So I'm going to say your somewhere in Kentucky....

Need more clues.....

But it looks like your in a closet....so I almost want to say that it might be an "Underground Railroad" hiding place somewhere in Kentucky.

edit....Ok...missed the VoD hint.....beaches? Ocean only?

Don’t know much about flags, but that star pattern is not “standard”. I think that is the Union Jack version for maritime, warships and merchant ships.

There are 10 kinds of people in the world.
Those who understand binary and those who don't.

Well that was her guess. But I do not know. This is a tuffy. Is it a B&B, museum or what?
VoD; did you take some classes on video on demand. Guthrie is in KY. I'm stumped.

Nope it's not:
A B&B, I wouldn't be caught dead at one.
It's not Kentucky
It's not a Museum, but close.... and it's not in NJ

Today's clue:

The VoD has also been known as the CoD. It's a point of disappointment that would just make a guy just spit to the wind... and if it were blowing north.. it would end up here:

Minnesota?

There's a Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis and that coast does look vaguely like it could be MN.

Still missing out on the VoD/CoD hint though...
