Going SOA - Trac/Torsion bars (part 6)

I finished the SOA part. But how important is it to have the front and rear traction bars back in place? They will not fit into their original mounts as they are now too short (obviously). Or can I just rely on the springs to keep the vehicle centered over the axles?

Re: Going SOA - Trac/Torsion bars (part 6)

Take the rear, and add it to the growing scrap pile... The front is nice though... the RE kit gives a lil bolt on bracket that raises the mount on the axle maybe 2" (a weld on bracket would be great probably stronger, and more effective)
For a sway bar, the stock length disconnects are about right... i bought the disco's RE suggested (theirs of course), and then did some custom mods to them.. (shortened them about an inch). I'd DEFFINENTLY reccomend the sway bar and the front Track Bar...

What do you think so far??
Wait till you see the wheels droop.... i get giddy just thinking about it

Of course it's hard, that's the point!!! If i wanted easy, i'd drive on the freeway.
