Is there a web sit that describes the location of the brackets and pulleys for the compressor on the 258?
Im getting ready for the install and want to be sure that I have all the brackets and Im not sure where they go

Re: York install

Hey, YJ-7
The compressor mounts on the passenger side above the alternater. I would recommend you hit a junk yard looking for old amc's concords, eagles, etc. most had A/C, and then you can pull the whole set up. not too expensive either.
As another help, here is a web site that someone put together a listing of sites devoted to converting A/C compressors. Many have pictures and diagrams.

hope this helps.

Re: York install

That link is actually made by my best friend down the street
although it does have many pics.
None really tell or show where the pullys and brackets are located
The storys are general and say mostly the same things

Both of us have been over the yards in the local area on a weekend basis in case another AMC comes in during the week
None of them have the a/c unites attached

Hopeing someone with a dig. camera will take some pics. and send them to me so I can share them with Mangler
[email protected]

Any one that could do this for us ,that wouild be great
The photos that we have seen are general shots with no specific subjet in shot and hoses in the way of specifics.
Need to know where the brackets and pullys are located and maybe a good shot or 2 of the plumbing set-up that they came up with

Thanks as always guys
