confused about engines

Will the Buick V6s fit into low hood flattys like the 2A and 3A? I am confused about the subject because Jeep made the hood taller for 3B to fit the F-head but isn't a Buick V6 a taller engine than an F-head? I thought I've seen Buicks in low hood flattys.

Re: confused about engines

Yes they will. just need to use a low profile carb and cleaner. Might have to do a small (1") body lift but not sure. I'll let you know in a few weeks.

I've seen 427 FE engines & 351C's under the hoods of flatties (the FE needed a scoop to clear the air cleaner), and tons of 225's also. Should be no sweat!
