KIT HUMMER

I just finished my cj-7 that I have worked on for 4 years and have an old rusted out suburban in my back yard that runs like a top. I just ordered a new "kit" from urban man. to turn it into a hummer. Actually it will end up looking like agiant Jeep...even with a cj-7 dash and speedometer, 39 inch mickeys and about a 6' 10" wide interior. Will be posting pictures and taking suggestions on custiomising it. I am using an origianl hummer front end and keeping the old straight axle in the front.

~~TIM~~

ITS NOT A JEEP ANYMORE!!!

Re: KIT HUMMER

Just finished your Jeep??? How is that possible??? I just have to go wheelin again to generate new projects, I dont think I could actualy finish unless I parked it.
Good luck with the new Burb project.

If at first you dont succeed, your replacement will try and try again.

Re: KIT HUMMER

We were just in Orlando area this past weekend and saw a "mini-me" hummer coming down the road. We all stopped and stared as it went by thinking what the f......??? Then we saw the tell-tail VW engine and exhaust signature hanging out the back. It was a kit car!!
Sort of cool in its own way.

Re: KIT HUMMER

In the Dallas/Ft. Worth area there is someone who will do the conversion for you if you pay the right amount of money. I believe the name the company gives the creation is the "Bummer." I guess this is a combination of burb and hummer??? All you have to do is bring them the frame and suspension from a 4x4 suburban and they will do the rest. Pretty cool looking and a lot cheaper if you can not afford a hummer. Re: KIT HUMMER

And if you ever want to make the Bummer and the CJ-7 match, you can buy a HumJ-7 body kit and fit 35" tires with no lift.

Just bought a DJ-5C! Sliding doors and right-hand drive are cool
