dana 60

I have aford kingpin dana 60 in my truck right now, but it was from a dually. What is involved in making it the same with as a srw truck? i herd it was just a spacer that i can unbolt, others told me it was a new hub that i need (not the locking hub) any help?

You can turn down dually hubs to work as single wheel hubs

The only thing that would stop you from using the entire outers - knuckles, hubs and brakes - is the height of the ears on the knuckle, which you can measure. If the ball joints are different their sockets can be machined as necessary to fit. Does your 60 not have hubs?

my dana 60 is complete but with the dually adapters on it. I dont need the locking hub part you turn, but the "hub " part that the lug nuts bolt too. I was just goning to slide that hub and rotor over my spindle, then bolt the locking hub part on. I wasnt planning on doing anything wiht the knuckles

Oh, I didn't look back at the start of this thread and was thinking about a 60 front axle. Disregard everything I said. Sorry.
