CJ8 Tub Dimensions

So we have a new Heep added to the fleet, 1983 CJ8 Scrambler. Problem is the PO hacked the back end off just pas the rear wheel wheel openings #&*$#*$#&$# idiot. Anyway, I'm trying to find dimensions/length of the tub so I can fix his &*$% up, say even the length from the firewall back to the tail of the tub.

Thanks guys.

What the PO did is called "Bobing" it is done so you dont drag your tail while wheeling, Basicly it makes a CJ7 with the CJ8 long wheelbase.
But this is the measurements I have:
Front of the tub @ the finder seam - to the rear 114"
Bottom rear of finder opening to rear 19. 1/8"
inside of if tub rear side of wheel well to bottom rear corner 14.5"
I used the seam for the rear corner as the rear measuring point. (all measurements are passenger side)
Good luck and let me know if you need more.
Also try scrambler.cj8.com (i think thats the site Ive been getting info for my CJ8)

Yeah I've heard the term before.

So when you say "Front of the tub @ the finder seam - to the rear 114" is that front fender steam(basically where the firewall is) to the rear seam(right before the tub corner begins), or is it right to the back of the tub?

Thanks again for the help.

Yep the seams are where the front finder mounts to the tub, and the rear is where the corner mounts to the side.
Good luck
