Whats wrong with the BBD? Are you in an emissions controlled state? My 88 YJ was running awful til I performed the Nutter Bypass and cleaned the idle tubes. I was so disappointed with the carb that I was ready to plunk down about $1000 for the Howell TBI kit. Now I'm not even considering it.

The non computer controlled bbd is not that bad (well, a lot better than the computer controlled one at least). You may go through a couple rebuilt ones to get a good one though. It won't be emissions legal and it might take a while to get all the plumbing correct.

Just came into a Motorcraft MC 2100 carb, 1.08 today.
If interested, get a hold of me on PM.

I've been thinking on the 2100 myself. Does anyone have a good pic of the linkage. It looks to be about 90* off?

Thanks

I've seen guys ghetto the Jeep linkage to work, but most of the recent ones have simply gotten an aftermarket cable bracket, attached it rearward of the carb and kind of looped the cable so that it pulls straight back. That's how I have mine. I thought it may wear on the cable sheathing but has worked great for more than three years now. I'll see if I have a pic.

Is this the only hammer you've got?

I could not get a picture good enough to show how we did the linkage, but it was very simple.. a plate that goes from the linkage on the carb connect the to the pedal linkage kind of triangular shaped
