Question any one got a 4banger

hay, yea this is my first thread, and what i was wondering is if any one has an ole' 4banger sittin around that is a 2.5l. my jeep is a 95 yj and the engine needs rebuilding or a replacement so if you can help please do. thanks

Welcome! There should be a few around. Several gys have replaced them with a 258 or 4-liter or a V8. We'll find you one.

EVERYTHING's easy for the guy who doesn't have to do it.

Well, yeah, there is that, but the littlel four-holer is a very good engine, and if he's happy with it . . .

yea dude ive looked into alot of different engines and trans opptions but im 17 and have like no cash. that and the 4cyl is one awsome little engine.

No sir, I'm not trashing trashing the 4 banger. I'm just saying keep the options open. In my opinion the inline 6 is a great engine for a Jeep.

yea man i know the six is an awsome engine (we have an 89 with a 258) and if i had the cash i would drop in a H.O 4.0 with an auto

the only place the 4 banger sucks is on the highway if you've lifted it and changed tires and didnt regear.....everywhere else its fine....I never had a lack-of power off-road when I had my 97 with the 2.5L

check out Car-Part.com--Used Auto Parts Market

its a network of junk yards all over and you can find parts pretty easily
