river heep break issues

Ive been told that I can disconnect my rear breaks at the master cylender, so I did and plugged the port. Now I dont seem to have breaks in the front? I just blead the front breaks prior to disconnecting the rear, so I know that I have the correct port plugged. Do I need to drain the rear side of the master cylinder? or did I miss something else?
This was done to disconnect the rear drums, because in the river they pack full of sand and dont work anyway.

By plugging the port you are preventing the piston in the master cylinder from moving, so you can't get any pressure applied to the fronts. You might be able to accomplish what you want by disconnecting the rear line at the combination valve. The system is designed to function on one end if the other loses fluid. You might lose all the fluid rather quickly, too.

Short of going to a single-circuit master cylinder, the only other solution I can think of is to route a tube from the rear line back into the master cylinder some way, but I don't know what the multi valve would do under those circumstances.

There must be a better way. I'm not a huge fan of rear disk brakes, but this might be a good application.

EVERYTHING's easy for the guy who doesn't have to do it.

figured it out... I disconnected the wrong line, Cant bleed the fronts when the line isnt connected to the master cylinder
and no I was backing out of the driveway when I noticed them...got lucky

Good thing you don't live where I do...

Backing out of the driveway here is like backing off the side of a mountain

Then again I do live in Fountain HILLS...
