steel to Poly gas tank fill tube modification
When I swapped my rusty steel tank for my poly today, I spent most of the day trying to find filler tubes that would work. This is what I did. Factory tank filler bungs are 3/4" and 1" the polly tank is 1" and 1.25." I used the 1" to 1" and then a Copper 3/4 - 1.25 reducer (3.99 home store plumbing) and about 4" of 1.25 fill tube. Good luck

Polly tanks are 20 gallon, and you can get fill and vent tubes for them from several Jeep parts suppliers for under $20 a set.
When you switch over to polly tank, did you use the larger skid plate with the boxed ends? |
