Oil level in TF727 or 999

How do I figure out the oil level of a TF727 or 999 without the original dipstick? The tranny is drained, and I am going to modify a GM dipstick and tube.

Is it a 999 or a 727? If it is a 999, I will go measure my dip stick and you can file marks into yours.

Oil level TF727

It is a TF727. Probably a 83 model. It would be interesting to know the measured oil level of a TF999/904 as well.

I'm currently on crutches and would gladly go out a measure my dipstick IF you really needed it, but since you're working with a 727 I'll let someone with a 727 do a measurement for you.
