I am a proud owner of Ford GPW 1942.
I am one of the member of Islamabad Jeep Club ( Pakistan )

Absolutely gorgeous! Is that a real '42 left there after the war, or a replica built there? We've had some threads from a guy in Pakistan who builds Jeeps from the ground up, with Nissan or whatever drive train he can get. Does really good work, too.

EVERYTHING's easy for the guy who doesn't have to do it.

Thanx for ur appreciations.

Well my Ford GPW 1942 is in original condition.

These vehicles were used in WWII, then left in this continent after the war.

Used by Army for few Decates then auctioned.

I restored it in 1990, It took me almost one year to complete the project.

I am using it for all my Offroading events, n proud of it.

Will post more offroading pictures & video links.

Absolutely beautiful! They are very rare here. In the northern 2/3 of the country they put salt on the roads to melt snow and ice. Any old Jeeps that were driven at all in the winter were eaten up by rust and scrapped long ago. Most of the ones that have survived are in museums or private collections and only brought out for special events. It must be 40 years or more since I've seen one being driven on the street. After the war they built a civilian model that was similar, but there are very few of them that have survived.

Wonderful jeep but from looking at some of the pictures you might think about adding a roll bar. I know that takes away for authenticity but…

Yeah, I was just thinking that exact thing. I didn't have a roll bar on my '64 and never missed, or needed, it. But I know a lot more now.

I know Roll Bar or Roll Cage is very important for these type of Offroading trips.
I checked a website g503 for suggestions, they told me that this 4x4 is used in WWII without Seat Belts & Roll Cage / Roll Bar.
I am still looking for a nice looking Roll Bar.
Kindly suggest me a nice looking Roll Bar
