Here's my mount. A buddy and I built this in an afternoon about 25 years ago, and it's been solid as a rock ever since. The flat pieces are 1/4" hot-rolled, and the angle iron is a very stout piece of 2 X 3/8. The details probably won't fit your winch, but the principals are good if they can be applied.
Attachment 75644 You can see how the load gets passed from the winch to the angle iron, from it to the side plates, and from them directly into the frame. There should never be much side load, but what there is goes from the angle to the side plates, and immediately to the triangular gussets and into the base plate. The fairlead bolts to the base plate, although it could have been bolted to the angle. I've also incorporated a tow hook and towbar attachments into the side plates, and mount auxiliary lights on the angle. |
thanks that is more then i can make in a few days with a littel mig and a torch and 4inch grinder ill come up with something im shure

Nonsense! As I said, a buddy and I made that in an afternoon, with a torch, Lincoln buzzbox, grinder and drillpress. And he did most of the work because he was an experienced ironworker and I'd never done anything like that before. It was a very good learning experience. :D

Some of the winch mounting kits are not very expensive... You don't have to take time to fab anything. Might be faster than messing with reworking something that could end up being a problem. Dale |
