TJ hardtop question

I see tons of ads on different sites for hardtops that say that they fit 97 - 2006 wranglers. I recently bought a used one from a 98 and put it on my 2003. The issue is that i just used the rubber windshield frame top seal that was on with my soft top and the hard top doesn't go down all of the way. Do I need a different type of seal or what's the problem..... Help!!

My hardtop doesn't have a rubber seal maybe there is not supposed to be one, I'd take your soft top seal off, latch the hardtop down see if it fits properly if it does use you hose to see if it leaks.

Please send check or money order for my bigger engine, drivetrain, axle, and tire foundation directly to me

I'll give that a try

I'll try that out cause it definitely needs to go lower... The used hard top that I got just has a metal lip riveted to it with some bolt holes in it... it doesn't have the latch hooks or anything else up front on it. I'll start out with the hose on low...haha

It sounds more like a CJ or YJ hardtop to me.

That's not a TJ hardtop, a TJ hardtop would have the latches up front
