Axle ratio question?

I should know this buy now but Im going to ask just to make sure. My son brought home another D44 with a locker in it and the #'s on the ring gear show 11:41. There are some really long #'s but Im thinking that's the one I need right. I devide the 11 into the 41 right ?

Correct 41/11=3.7272727272 or 3.73. There should also be a long number which may start with "x" this is the Dana part number. There should also be a number on one of the tubes which is the Bill of Materials (BOM) number. This should can be interpreted via the Dana web site, and Give the Manufacture, vehicle type, and year the axle is from.

Wilhelm

I will start using Metric only when the duodecimal system is adopted!!
