scrambler tomb raider

hi just kidding but is kinda my version just added another toy... i know i am going to get a lot of comments on this one but go ahead and let me have it....... i got the ends off ebay real cheap... and came up with the middle section of stainless steel. put it together and looks ok.. dont have any lights for it yet.... got any ideas on that.... also this is the one that turns so you can mount the lights and it filps forward to lower the middle section to lower the lights down ... i also saw one like this with the windsheild down with the light pointed foward on the hood.... looked kinda funny that way but guess it would work.... only put it down a couple of times.... too much wind driving that way... was ok going slow.... anyway let me know what you guys think... thanks

You have a hard top?

How does that work?

Just thinking... No intent to distract...

I'm never a fan of exhaust pipes coming up out of a Jeep toward the sky. Some of the best Jeeps I know of don't have much for exhaust pipes, well not connected anyway.

Just thinking...

Edit: It looks sooooo much better with headlights.

Excellent Bad Example

I count 8 spotlights (you have 2 on the bumper facing to the sides)

watts = volts x amps
Make sure you have the output from the alternator and heavy gauge wire to run all these.

scrambler lights

yes i have eveything heavy duty double batt setup and a isolator to charge them also a relay box and cir breakers fuses just for them.. and all new heavy wiring... but remember does not mean they all will be on at the same time... you can have a lot of lights set up for different uses.... they will all be on different aircraft type switches toggle with protective covers and indicator lights to show for sure what is on and off.... the very bottom ones are a dark yellow fog type light mounted very low/// i even have a pair of small eyeball lights in the rear for backing up,,,,, never have good lights back there.... the charge unit is a high output 120 amp... and i have had it checked and said it was good... only problem i am still working on is the winch is a 24 volt... that is the reason for two batt.. trying to setup a way to tie the 2 batt toghter to get 24 volts when i need winch and then back to 12 volts for eveything else with out two much hooking and unhooking... no matter how you do it... it is a bit of a hassle... if anybody has any ideas on this.... let me know thanks

Hey, if I'm working at night and call you would you turn them all on so I could see back here in Indiana.

2001 TJ Built, Wrecked, then Built Bigger, then rolled and fixed again, now rolled again. Do you see a pattern!!

Whoa!

I would have said to put the quadratech catalog in the trash, but I don't think you got that stuff off of any supplier.

Man, you have every accessory imagined, and some just plain unimaginable! Your last name isn't Potts is it? Does the Jeep float and fly? Wow!

indicator lights to show for sure what is on and off
Um, by the size of it, I don't think you need indicator lights.

BTW: What is under the tonneu cover? Do you ever burn your hair on the exhaust? It looks as you have several places to indicate it is a jeep, in the back, on the hood, windshield, roll bar and CJ-8 on the headrests. If someone comes up to you and calls it a samurai, would you clock them?

24 volt system for the winch

thanks that is the best idea i have seen so far i will get ahead of them ... the only thing i am worried about is if i am understanding it correct when i would turn on the winch it would draw power and the system would then put the two batt into 24 volt mode... that part is cool.... sounds great just what i want but what about that 24 volt power going on into the rest of the jeep and burning up the reg 12volt stuff..... sounds like i would still have to have a cut off switch to everything else on the jeep to protect it... dont know.. but i am going to email them and tell them what i am trying to do and what i now have... never know maybe they can come up with something special for me.....
