Idle issues

I have the jeep dialed in with my idle set at 680 rpms. Now when I'm out driving and I put the clutch in or come to a stop, the idle bumps up to 1100 rpms. If I give the engine a swift boost of gas the idle will stop @ 680 or just a tad higher. I have check my choke settings thinking that it was getting hung up on the cam and that's not the case. I'm lost of what to do next. Any Ideas?????

Is that a Carter BBD with the computer control?

EVERYTHING's easy for the guy who doesn't have to do it.

Check all the vacum hoses, 75% of the culprit on those PITA Carbs. Unless something is sticking.

Buy Moses Ludel's "CJ Rebuilder's Manual, 1972 - 1986" Moses has spent almost 20 pages on rebuilding the BBD system to work like new.

Carnell, I'm thinking vacuum leak as well....it's a constant battle with those years. If you don't find the problem before you come over, we will just add it to the list.

I checked the vacuum hoses and things are good on that end. I will trouble shoot the sol vac and see if that's it. Maybe it will be just a small adjustment and that's it!!! I'll let you know.....

Thanks guys,
