Dana 30 disconnect seal

Anyone ever run into a problem finding the correct seal (disconnect shaft seal) for a HP Dana 30 from an MJ?
I'm told it's from a Comanche anyway. It's definitely a high-pinion D30 disconnect.
I'm putting solid axles in it and swapping it into my YJ. (low-buck ratio swap, 3.07 to 3.73)
O'Reilly and Advance list the same Federal Mogul p/n, checking it at the store, it is a tad too small to stay in the housing.

The seal that is listed for it is about 1/4" or so smaller in diameter than the one I pulled from of the outboard side of the disconnect housing.
We tried searching different YJ, XJ, and MJ seals at the store, but none match the one that came out of it.
This is really holding me up, as I've pulled the one out, so it's junk, and I can't go much further without finding a replacement.
Oh, and it's getting warm outside.

So you are removing the disconnnect?

I thought the guys who were taking out the disconnect and putting in 1-piece passenger side didn't put the seal back in the disconnect area, but rather put the 2 seals on either side of the pumpkin, like normal axles.

Maybe I'm confused.

No, you're exactly right.
After hunting down the correct seal for the VD housing, I saw that it is way too big ID for the new shaft. (should have seen that from the old one)
I spoke with one of my sources and they said that the right side housing, though it has no "shelf" machined for a seal, is the correct/same ID for the left-hand seal.
