Who's going trail riding in Tellico this weekend?

I'll be heading to Murphy, NC this Friday morning. I'll be driving my daily driver '78 CJ5.

I'm not looking to buddy up with any one for the trip down. But I've never been to Tellico, and looking for somebody that is going trail riding on Saturday. My CJ is pretty capable, but I'm not trying to break anything. I need to get back home.

So who's going trail riding??

Unless something drastic happens, you ain't gonna do much "trail riding"... unless you mean Trail #1 (gravel road into the area) and/or #4 (long, bumpy, nuisance trail)... since everything else worth riding has been "temporarily" CLOSED (with NO date set for them to reopen)

The trails have been closed. BUT this was supposed to be the opening week. That's the point of "everybody" going there. All the boards seem to be dead about this all of a sudden, so now I'm not sure what's going on.

I'll be making the trip no matter what...... it's still a jeep trip...... and no time line....

As I eluded to earlier, several folks that are involved with the Tellico issues/SFWDA told me on Monday that we'd be lucky... miraculously fortunate if the the "closed" trails EVER open back up. Please report your findings when you return...
