OT - the language?

Why is it when we say something untruthful it's a lie.

But when a politician lies it's not a lie, but a mistatement?

It has to do with the level of the professional water table. They live in a swamp of lies, so a falsehood becomes a misstatement, or an error in speaking. To rise to a level worthy of being called an outright lie, it has to be a whopper on the order of "I did not have sex . . . " Well, they didn't even call that a lie, did they. Ah dunno.

EVERYTHING's easy for the guy who doesn't have to do it.

Even though I don't agree that it's right we all (as parents) do it too to some degree. There are somethings that I have answered my daughters questions with some twist to the truth. But THEY(!!!!) do it on a MUCH more of a grand scale!

Wellllllllllllll, from my past experiences This is what I found out, "IF" you're not a "POLITICIAN, POLICEPERSON or some other CIVIL SERVANT, or HIGH RANKING MILITARY or CIVILIAN OFFICIAL" its a nooooooo noooooooooo to speak what "THEY" consider to be an untruth. Where I live I'm considered "scum" cause I'm slightly handicapped, live in a biggggggg house, do what I want on my property and drive, heaven forbid, "JEEPS", can you imagine that, oh and one other thing, I tell it like "IT IS" and alll the farmers around here like it, course there are certain elements of stupidity and evil that don't like it, "OH WELL".
