warn m8000 solenoid mounting

Well, I picked up the winch yesterday and put it on today. My problem is, i need some ideas of where to mount the solenoid/remote box. My idea is to mount it on the tray opposite the dash from the battery. It looks like a good location. My problem is, the cables that come on the box are only about 6" long. I need them to be about 6' long for this to work. 1: is there any other ideas of where to mount this thing in a 97 Tj, and 2: where could I get longer cables with the ends crimped on? Once this is mounted the project is done and I can be out winching.

I got no pics for you but I mounted my solenoid box under the hood on the passenger side kinda in front of the battery on the inner fender. I did this after replacing solenoids and a motor because of water damage. I had some longer battery cables made up in town at a farm shop we use. (charge account ) Also sealed the winch up real good using some clear RTV. I haven't had any problems with water and my winch since. Besides the added protection it also gives you a cleaner look.
Good luck,
