Question onboard air comp on cj 8

hi please take a look at the pic in this post.... the pic of the jeep air conditioner is from a guy that used the comp unit to make his onboard air and shows his air tank and hook up.... i am thinking about doing something like this but my motor is a sb chevy and i have also posted a couple of photos of my motor setup.. my question is can a amc jeep or chry comp unit be made to fit where the idle pulley is now... i think there is plenty of room just dont know much about this kind of comp unit on how they are mounted... if anyone has used this maybe they can tell me if they think i wound work or why not.... i dont think that a gm unit will work as a air compr unit for on board air or i would just use one of those.... just a idea i now am using a 12 volt comp unit for the air pump... so it is not something i have to do... just would like to get some info and idea on it thanks

Ya know... I don't want to be a kill joy... BUT!

With just a little research (on your own)...

You can put Onboard Air on about anything.

Click on it please.

Kilby, Truckspring.... Very long list of sites waiting for your $$ Air suspensions are very popular and yes many of us have built OBA into our Jeeps.

I'm sure there are OBA threads here on the board, but then maybe not lately.

So why would you think a GM wouldn't work?
It would be easy to mount. Like all the others, they compress to about 250 lbs.
