HEI power wire

ok so im gonna instal my hei, so where is the best place to get my 12v from. i plan on completely removing all the computer crap so id like something thats not on any of that. aswell do i need to put a fuse in line? i dont really want to go with the relay method for simplicity reasons but if i have to i guess i will. but id much rather just connect a wire and be done with it.

Look at your OEM Ignition module connectors. One of them has a nice big fat wire running to it.. that's switched 12v. I use that wire to power my HEI. It's worked well for 11 years. Some people like to use a relay powered by switched voltage.. .but I'm not a fan of that... as it adds one more point of failure to the ignition system.

Yup, it's red with a white tracer.

Is this the only hammer you've got?
