Question towing without additional brake system

just picked up some info from camping world store on towing jeep behind motor home... according to them and info sheet they gave me allmost every state requires any car or truck towed over 3,000 must have additional break away and additional braking system by law if this is true i have to put some type of ele or whatever brake system on the jeep to flat tow it... do any of you know about this and what are you using ....

You have a better chance of getting hit by lightning than you do of getting a ticket for not having break-away brakes on your flat-towed vehicle. I have towed for YEARS without ever once getting hassled. A safety chain is a pretty good idea, though. You WILL get pulled over if you don't have one of those.

That said, if you want the peace of mind of knowing that if your tow bar fails for any reason your Jeep will not go tumbling down the highway, then there are several systems out there that will stop your vehicle if it should break away from the tow rig. Any RV store will have what you are looking for.
