How 'bout a "sticky" library?

There are quite a few things that could be put into a "sticky" file that would be very helpful. Things that continually get asked like ignition conversions to HEI, what lift is needed to fit tire sizes, SOA vs. SUA, advance curves, etc..
How 'bout putting them into a "sticky" library?
Not just references to threads, but just copies of the original articles?
Then it would be easy to refer to it and access it.
Then if there's questions about it, those questions can be asked on the regular threads.

Dave and I have discussed that, and there are two main reasons we haven't started one. First, with the two stickies there now, Mudrunner's announcement, the buttons, links and ORC advertising there isn't much room to display thread titles. My screen is set to 1280 x 1024 and still only shows five active titles.

Second, if we incorporated the full text into such a post, it would get awfully long. Your propane trick post is two full screens for me. A few more like it and it would get hard to manage and navigate.

Also it gets more difficult to manage if it's all in one place, maintaining the index and so on, but it's pretty easy to add a link to the welcome thread, so it becomes an index. My main concern with this approach is that an outside link can change or go dead, so I'd suggest that if you find something on another site copy and paste it into a thread here, as long as it isn't copyrighted.

Or give us a raise if you expect us to become librarians.

Not quite, as I recall. You're probably thinking of LEVE, who seems to know where everything is.

I'm running only running 1024x768 on a 17" FP... you must be using an 8" MacII monitor to have that little showing. If you'll cover the shipping, I have brand new 17" CRT I'll send you!

Actually it's a 19" LCD, but thanks for the offer! I'm old like you - if it were an 8" I'd need Sherlock's magnifying glass.

But thanks for the tip on Adblock. Are you using one of their lists?
