got the steering in today.. so tomorrow.. that will go in.. and friday will be getting all the hydro lines.. picking up trailer from base sunday.. and hopefully monday getting exhaust and front drive shaft put in.. rear driveshaft got shipped this morning..

i just have to get it to run.. which should be happening tomorrow... trying to get a battery from work...

One of my Marines.. got me this the other day.. I had made a bracket for his toyota front axle that he had broke..

i told him that was not necessary.. but he said his father owns a welding store.. so to keep it.. so i did.. not knowing exactly what it was until i got home..

I finally got that El Camino in my garage running last weekend, and it just has open manifolds. Within 10 minutes of me firing it up there was a Temecula PD car rolling down my street. I think my neighbors had enough...

"And then I said, 'Just like that, but with more gas!' Oops..."

Same neighbors here! They wouldn't think twice about their friends blocking *MY* driveway when they have a huge party or the the issues created when they all try to leave stumblin' drunk at 0300 (car doors slammin' for an hour! )

BUT, let me pull the mangled tube/muffler off the pass. side of the Moss and move it out of the garage into the backyard (60 seconds runtime MAX) at noon on a Saturday! You'd think OJ was just spotted leaving the scene!

That's why I waited 30 minutes (for the "Hot/Now" sign to light at KrispyKreme) and fired it back up!

The next door called the Sheriff over our beagle barking. Sheriff says the dog walked up licked her hand and never once made a sound. Had it not been for the nastygram he left in my mailbox (crudely written in pink Crayon ), I would've let it drop... but then I realized that every time I shut the door on my truck in truck backyard, *HIS* 3-4 dogs would start up the howling.

Yes, I know "2 wrongs don't make a right", but 3.5 years later I still get a chuckle every time I stroll out (just before his bedtime) to "look for something" in the truck!

I not much of a betting kinda man, but I'd be willing to lay a dollar on the line that say that I get the MG roadworthy before Pat gets the pumpkin to a trail.

Gots myself a new toy to play with - Pirate4x4.Com Bulletin Board

The little MG comes to life - Pirate4x4.Com Bulletin Board

Yesterday, since my fuel tank is getting cleaned and lined, I replaced all the fuel lines, rigged up a line to a gas can and checked for leaks, two pumps on the accelerator and she fired right up. But, I've purchased the wrong fuel pump, it's pushing too much psi and the excess is going to the charcoal canister, I'll get either a regulator or different fuel pump today.

So, with all the little things that need to be done, I think I'll be driving back and forth to work before Pat gets the pumpkin out for a trail ride, mind you, this car has not run since it was parked in '99
