YJ brakes on a CJ

Any thoughts on the common practice of placing YJ brakes on a CJ?

Here is one of many links showing the How-To:

There are two primary factors of brake performance: Ability to apply stopping force, and ability to shed the heat generated doing so which, if insufficient, leads to brake fade. That modification won't help with the latter problem, which you might encounter going down long grades or stopping from high speed, especially when pulling a trailer or carrying a heavy load.

If you aren't having fade problems, and already have power brakes, it looks like a good idea. Otherwise, you might be better off incorporating a CJ booster unit.

EVERYTHING's easy for the guy who doesn't have to do it.

I used the Master/Booster Cylinder from a YJ on my CJ with no other problems than to change over to the EFI system. It works great but if you need a CJ booster for brakes I have a brand new one I'll let go for cheap.
