weber 32/36 choke not opening

After spending quite some time adapting my new weber 32/36 carb to my 151 engine i got almost everything working. Although the car drives nicely i found out that the choke plates are not opening quite the way the should. Even after 40 minutes of highway driving they are only open to one third and also the second step of the fast idel is still engaged. I' ve got the one with the electrical choke and yes there is current.

Thanks in advance

What kind of car is this on?

Does the choke have the round plastic cap? If so, you just loosten the screws and rotate it a little in the direction that opens the plates. If you do it while hot you can rotate it until the plate is fully open. Actually, in mild weather the choke should be fully open in five or ten minutes.

This is all from experience with Carter and Rochester carbs, so if it doesn't apply to the Weber, I'll go away.

EVERYTHING's easy for the guy who doesn't have to do it.
