Speaking of spam, have you ever tried cutting it into slices, wrapping it in tin foil, and placing it on your engine block while wheeling? Makes for a good snack.

may i suggest a new marketing stragey for JPfreek.

instead of spamming on message boards.....actually Join the message board, interact with the people, and the readers will naturally follow.

the year before last we had some reps from 4-Low magazine that joined us on our annual trip.....they didnt spam here, but im pretty sure a good number of people bought thier subscriptions. I know cuz I was one of them

I stumbled onto the JPFreek website a couple months ago. It was the best online magazine I've seen. In an email exchanges with the magazine's publisher suggesting that the Bash would make a good story for the summer edition, he said that he used to visit our board frequently, but had gotten out of the habit. This might have been handled differently but check out his website before hammering too hard.

Good point, Tom. Because his site is Jeep-related and he wasn't selling anything here, we handled this more gently than usual. When they join and immediately put up a for-sale we delete the whole thread and ban them for life, as we did for the guy a few days ago with the list of electronics. In this case we left the thread, issued a mild admonishment and invited him back. He's certainly welcome to come back and put a link in his signature as many have done.

Had we known that he was invited in by a long-time member in good standing, and had he introduced himself first, we could have let it slide.

And just to show that there are no hard feelings, here's the link. It does look like an interesting site.

JPFreek Adventure Magazine: Jeep and Outdoor Adventure Publication for Jeep Enthusiasts

EVERYTHING's easy for the guy who doesn't have to do it.
