oil pressure question

Please tell me I worry to much Most of my driving is around town, 20 mile in one shot is a LONG trip. My oil always runs about 50psi. today (200 miles after a new oil change, and switching from synthetic blend to full synthetic) I noticed my oil pressure is the same, untill I slow down to a idle. (I forgot I was 50miles into a 90 mile trip) then it would drop to about 20psi.
That normal or seem fine? I cant ever recall it doing that in the past, and I have driven 1200mile trips. I also cant recall ever looking at the gauge when I idle at a off ramp before.
I assume that the oil being more slipery (and yes full) after at full running temp allowes the pressure to drop at a lower rpm after all the oil pump isnt pumping as fast.
Also no leaks, no smoke and no loss of power (any loss of power in my 2.5 would be very noticable).
Thanks....ANd yes I know I worry to much!

Very well. You worry too much.

That's typical, and nothing at all to fret over. I set the idle speed to 20 PSI. Don't know how fast that is but it sounds right.

EVERYTHING's easy for the guy who doesn't have to do it.

20 PSI at hot idle is still very good!

Full synthetic usually has a lower hot viscosity than blends or petroleum oil.
Nature of the beast.

I'm running a stock, '73 oil pump in a 304, so I'm happy to have ANY oil pressure showing at idle!
