Question 2002 TJ Transmission poping out of gear

Hey Guys,

My Brother is having troubles with his 02 TJ's transmission. It has 140,000km on it and a 4.0litre engine. When accelerating sometimes it will pop out of gear in 3rd and 5th, but mostly 5th gear.

It did this on the original transmission which was replaced at 110,000 km and now recently (within the last 500 km) it has started doing it again. Any ideas on where to start? Aside from burning it and collecting the insurance money or putting out death threats on the dealership (forgot to mention the work was done at the Chrysler dealership).

As far as I know it hasn't been in any accidents, and the shifter isn't hitting on the tub or binding on the shift boot.

Thanks guys
