well i tracked down the rollbar you see there...so thats new

and i ordered a new carb......then they sent me the wrong one....so i'm waiting on my refund for that to order from somewhere else that wont mess up my order.

I've bent up some new fuel lines also....since it was just a long piece of rubber line running over the exhaust!

i prolly should replace the fuel pump....but i'm waiting on the carb to determine if that needed.

i need to add a 90* bend to the exhaust after the muffler....right now its pointed right at the rear pass. side brakes.....and they are covered in soot, so its been like that for a while....which isnt good.

before the next bash i'll have a rebuilt engine, tran, t-case, and axles.....maybe some fancy rattle can paint ......i'll do everything but the engine rebuild myself.....i'm not sure i feel comfortable with that just yet....we'll see if that changes before then.

the deal was too good on the tires to pass up, otherwise i woulda waited to get them......the welder fund is back to zero...again

my next to do's after the carb stuff are (in no perticular order):
1)get a pressure washer and hose the 60 years of junk off
2)redo the brakes so i can stop somewhat
3)replace u-joints in driveshafts
4)replace the seat and bracket and add a passenger seat.....and seat belts!

once its in a decent solid drivable shape, i'm going to leave it as is......and start work on the CJ6

i have a 4 day course in September, over 2 weekends, on sheet metal working....so thats going to help a lot with both heeps

Delay it as long as possible - keep thinking of excuses - enjoy what you have now. It won't stay that way - guaranteed!

They change drastically once you tie the knot.

What you think you are getting is not near what you get! Sometimes you'll start seeing the changes in as soon as 2 hours! I should have known then!

I'm about to end my third - it's always the same!

They need to have renewable marriage contracts 6 months long. Even that may be too long.

Eventually the fuel pump diaphragm will rupture and pump gasoline into the engine or spray it into the engine compartment. It's a consequence of age and use. You should replace the pump a week before that happens. It's cheap insurance.

EVERYTHING's easy for the guy who doesn't have to do it.

So... are you going to get the Jeep done FIRST? After the marriage.. .there won't be a snowball's chance in hell that the budget will include the Jeep.
