Went Wheeling, but too damn hot!!!!!

It's hotter than a fresh f#&*@ed fox in a forest fire out there!

We stopped for lunch, and just threw the hamburgers up in the air to cook them!
I threw mine too high and burned it!

It's so humid out there you have to ring the air out before you breath it or you'll drown!

It's so hot the popcorn popped in the fields, the crows thought it was snow and froze to death!

Did you get to see the water buffalo before it evaporated?

AW NUTS!
Something else I missed today!

First my lottery numbers only paid $7, then I had to plug a tire before we could leave, now this!

You're gettting soft in your old age. I spent the day at the Scott AFB air show, and it wasn't too bad, but then I'm tough!

They had a B2 in the hanger and I got a couple of good pictures. That thing is spooky looking! And speaking of spooky, they had a replica AC47 gunship with numbers and markings of Spooky 71, the one the sergeant earned the Medal of Honor in.

EVERYTHING's easy for the guy who doesn't have to do it.

We did the helo version of the AC 130...
And I've been in the older version of the AC 130, before it became a video game.

Pretty awesome what an Specter can do to the bad guys, and there doesn't even have to be a city street distance between the good guys and the bad guys!
Now THAT'S CLOSE air support!

I still haven't seen a B2 up close and I'd really like to!
The army only gets propeller driven and I just never got the chance to have a good look at the F 117 or B2 up close yet!

And YES! I'm a wussy...
I can't see sitting in 90+ degree temps with 90+ relative humidity when I'm paying for A/C at home!
If some of the others could go more than 200 Yards without stopping for a half hour minimum so there was some air moving, things would have been different....

Every 200 yards someone had to stop, then the entire column had to stop, then it took at LEAST 30 minutes to get everyone moving again...

I took the bikini top off, and turns out I couldn't buy shade out there...
Not a tree in two miles (Strip Mine land) in any direction...
And to top it all off, I forgot to get ice before we left town, so cold anything was out of the question...

On top of everything else, I'm a fat guy,
We don't sweat, we render for lard!
Everybody was looking at me and talking about being hungry for BLT's, and I didn't want to ask where the bacon smell was coming from!

Anyway, have a note on my dash that says,
'Don't forget 'ICE & Gas'...
--------------

Here is a good one for you,
One guys stops, says his oil pump just gave out...
Idiot light comes on, so he leaves it idling while he comes back to tell us the light was on!

So once we get him to shut down the engine,
(He was 'afraid' it wouldn't start up again.... well DUH!)
We pull the dip stick... Not one drop of oil on the dip stick!
Asked him when he checked oil last...
"They do that when I get the oil changed"...
So, when was the last time you got the oil changed?
"I don't remember."
Looked at the sticker, 5,500 miles and over 2 years ago!

I get out my extra gallon of oil and dump it in...
Shell Rotella 15W40. I use it in everything during the summer...
Afterwards he actually tells a friend of mine he's going to sue me if my oil hurts his engine!
When I heard that over the radio is when I decided to call it a day... Had enough....

Anyway, had the post wheeling trip to the local Mexican restruant, had an excellent meal, got some outstanding sweet tea, took a shower, now I'm all better and getting ready to watch some TV...

Life could be worse!

You may have been confused by all of his old man talk. If I ever get to be as old as he is, Ill kill myself and I will have completed 6 decades before the year is out.

90 degrees and 90% humidity - sounds miserable.

That makes our 121 degrees at 5% humidity sound much nicer!
