Well, we got our first-born granddaughter married off to a guy with fewer tattoos and piercings. At least visible. I guess that's a good thing.

EVERYTHING's easy for the guy who doesn't have to do it.

Lucky? Well, the control system didn't blow up today when we turned on the power....

Wife flew home yesterday....so I won't get lucky until sometime next week when I fly home......

But I consider this date 7-08-07 to be lucky.....a lot of what I have been doing has been to get that plane built....there is going to be a big media broadcast Sunday for the roll out...

On a SUNDAY? What, was there something special about that 07/08/07 date?

Where you been? I thought I was gonna have to answer for you.

The plane’s been all over the news today with all kinds of claims being made by reporters. One is that being composite the humidity can be higher for better comfort. Another is, being composite the humidity can be lower for better comfort.

I'm in Savannah GA working on another autoclave that makes 'another' airplane....

Yea....the 787 is going to be great...if you see any of the 787 info that shows the front fuselage being put into an autoclave....it's the autoclave that we put in at Sprite in Wichita KS....30' in diameter...70' long....

Because the fuselage is all composite, the pressure in the cabin will be higher...equiv to about 6000' vs 8000+ for current aircraft. This means your coffee will be hotter and taste better.....

Humidity will be higher....on current aircraft they keep it pretty dry because the humidity will freeze on the inside skin, and when the plan lands, it melts and then causes corrosion problems on the inside....composites do not corrode....

No central hydraulic systems....each actuator will be a self contained unit running of electric power only...

No hot bypass of the engine....all electric

Fuselage will be almost 2' wider than a 767...but the same number of seats per row....means wider seats.......

Windows are about 50% larger....no pull down shade...LCD film to dim the light...

It's going to be one fine airplane.....
