Started next project !!!!

Well I started on the CJ5 last night ! Im going to keep it simple and use my wide track axles out of the scrambler and the I6... I have a locker in the rear AMC 20 and Im going to just weld the front for the time being. I know the gears are probably going to suck but Im not trying to build a serious crawler. Just something to putt around in that is a jeep... I will post some pics later today after work.

Im thinking about doing a 1/4 eliptical on the rear so I can kick the axle out to the rear of the tub. What do you guys think ? I have the stuff to set it up on coils but I think the 1/4 eliptical set up would be easier.... maybe not ???

Making progress!!! I got the other axle back in the rear today but haven't had time to take any pics.. I was hoping the wide track axles would be a little wider than what they are but thats cool, tires won't rub inner rear fenders now...
More free labor, actually it's great having him out there with me. He is finally at that age where he realy helps out a lot...

Just going for a beater !!!!! Nothing fancy this time, just something to drive the trails out back and something for the boys to drive around in and not have to worry about scratches and dents.
Not really much left to do, I have to drop the motor back in now put the grill, hood and fenders on and wire it up and it's done. Im not going to tag it so Im not worried about tail lights and blinkers. Im putting some KC lights instead of the head lights....
