How do I delete a thread?

I know I am overlooking something, but when I click on the edit button, I don't see any way to delete a thread that I started. I see a delete button when I didn't start the thread, but not when I started the thread. What am I missing? Maybe moderators can only delete threads?

You can delete a post you added to a thread. Moderators can delete posts or threads that others put up. What do you want to get rid of?

I started a thread in the "Test Stuff Here" forum. I tried to delete it after I was done, but could not. Not a big deal, but I imagine someday I will start a dumb thread and was wondering how I could delete it before others saw how dumb I was.

LOL
I doubt you could start a dumb thread unless it was on purpose, and if you did I doubt you would rivel the top 10% dumb post. I may be there though.

What Tater said!

The only thing you can do in that case is send a PM to DD and me, and hope that we dump it before too many see it. Of course, if it's THAT good, we just might make it sticky for a few days.

You can also edit the text to make it innocuous and give a defensible meaning to the title. I don't think it's possible to edit the title, even with our super powers.
