That's the ugly, smoggy, foggy, humid, dreary, congested, crime ridden part of California. We hit 102 today, low of 71 last night. Some high clouds tonite, but you can see far more stars than you ever can in the LA area on their best night. I can see the glow from Vegas almost 200 miles away.

Are you sure that isn't the 'glow' from Yuka mountain?

I guess it could be - but then LA and San Diego is in trouble too - I can see the glow from their lights too.

When high clouds are present over the major populated areas, like Vegas, the city lights light up the clouds, making the glow seen for hundreds of miles.
Spring and summer time when we have our Monsoons it's even more glorious.

For too many years I lived in that congestion and mess - never never again! I had to go down to Anaheim yesterday - cold, cloudy, smoggy, congested - yuk. When I left here at 7AM it was clear, clean, and 82 degrees already! I couldn't wait to get out of that mess down there

Dawg, get that Jeep finished and come out here! Hundreds of trails to run - and clean air to breathe!

When I first moved out here from the LA area I had severe headaches. I finally realized what was wrong. I took a vacuum cleaner hose, ran it from the tailpipe into the back window - the headache went away! I had to wean myself off CO!

Did you know clean air doesn't have any taste to it? AND - you don't need to cut it with a knife!

My friend now lives in SD. Last time I saw him I had to ask why.

His response...
"Come here and you'll not want to leave"

Personally I'd take Maui. No disrespect to SoCal.

It's not the heat here,
Not the heat, it's the stupidity... I mean the humidity... Yeah, That's it!...
-------------

It's so hot here you can throw a burger in the air and it will come down cooked!
If you throw it too high, it will burn!
-------------

It's so hot here the popcorn poped in the fields, the crows thought it was snow and froze to death on the telephone wires!

Meanwhile I am Freezing my a$$ off in June. Tonight it will be 48, tomorrow should be warmer, might hit 70!

BTW: I am in the east San Francisco bay area, it was 90s last year!

I pay as much CA taxes as JeepDawg, but I don't get the weather!
