D30 gear compatibility question

Does anyone know if the gears in a Dana 30 from a Scout (not sure what year) would fit in a Dana 30 NT off a CJ ('81 Scrambler). A friend of mine said I could have his old front scout axle but all I really need is the gears to match the D44 that I already have.

Thanks for your input.

Ask me about my vow of silence!

I did not even know they had 30's. I have only seen them with 44's

Check out the link I gave in this old post and do some research to find the answer.

A d30 gear set is a d30 gearset. Other then the YJ gears. You shouldnt have a problem.

TJ/ late model xj/zj gears are also different. Pretty much any jeep d30 gear set till '86, any early bronco till they went to d44's, and any scout untill they went to d44's are all interchangable.
