OT Bseball games

I was impressed to day. Patty's boss gave us 4 tickets to watch the Astros spank the Reds today. I had not been to a pro game in 19 years. Game has not changed but the enviroment has. we were 22 rows off the field almos directly lined up with 1st and second on the 1st base side. Only thing is,, Why pay 30.00 a sest only to walk back and forth to the bathroom 40 times in 9 innings?

I had a great time though. However I probably only saw 3 innings due to all the walkers back and forth....

Ya only go around once, best to enjoy it the first trip.

Jeepchick and I usually get into Fenway to see the Sox play 3 or 4 times a year - it's a blast. It's tough to get tickets these days, but if you jump online as soon as they go on sale, you can usually get something, even if it's standing room only, or outfield bleachers.

I can't imagine living somewhere where you can just decide that night to go to the game, and go get tickets.

Yeah - there are some characters usually. In Fenway the 'demographic' you refer to are called "Bleacher Creatures", usually sit in the bleachers, and drink heavily. Not always a 'family environment' out there, though.

Red Sox doing great so far this year though - kicked some pretty good Yankee butt early.

88YJ: Old, noisy, slow, and just generally wonderful. Wheeling Jeep.

Baseball.....I never could understand the logic is paying $30 for a bad seat to buy overpriced beer and watch over paid attitudes throw a ball around....

I'd rather work on my jeep and toss ball with my boys.....but that's just me...

I did enjoy it, but if the tickets were not free I wouldn't go. Once a year freebie will be fine for me.

Go Tigers!!

Going to a game that has a winning team makes a WORLD of difference!!! The Tigers have sucked for years, but now when you get a crowd at Comerica Park, it's GREAT!! I'm actually going to tomorrow afternoon and sitting in a suite paid for by Ford. I'd didn't ask how they got the money for it, I'm just going to enjoy it!! Should I wear one of my Jeep shirts!??

I used to be at the Giants & A's games all the time. Got into the locker room a couple times to get balls & bats signed. When I was a kid, in the early 60's my buddy & I would buy bleacher seats at CandleStick and fight for the balls over the fence. We had balls hits by Willy Mays, Willy McCovey, Orlando Cedepa, Stan Musial, Pete Rose, Don Drysdale, lots of others.
Loved it but now we live just too far away for a day trip to the ball park.
With some of my college buddies we have a "reunion" at the ball park once a year. Usually make a weekend of it.

I used to ove going to Wrigley, you could buy tickest the day of the game for $10. Those days are over now, it's almost imposible to get tickets now. One day I'll have to go see the Mariners in Safeco, everyone says there isn't a bad seat in the place.
The games I really like to see are the minor league games, tickets are cheap, the worst seat is on the grass in the outfield, and it's a great way for kids to see the game and meet some of the next generation of players.

I could have had a V8
