And for Fairness

Is it time for new Moderators?

I'll be the first to say, I don't think we'll be seeing any changes in Moderators

I think they have been fair, and much more tolerant than most of us could have been. I say keep them if they're willing to stay on. They just made a decision that, in my opinion, took a lot of guts to make. They deserve our support.

Why do you figure it took a lot of guts? The focus of this whole affair is exceedingly unpopular and everyone here knows that. Why would it take guts to institute a policy that you know is going to be wildly popular?

What would take guts would be telling everyone to quit grumping about the unpopular one and just hit the ignore button.

I hope no one takes this as a stab at the moderators because it is not, but to say this action took guts is just flat out wrong.

Taz may or may not be a politically motivated incorrigible troll, but without a willing audience of victims to jump into his snares this whole thing wouldn't even be an issue.

IOW, it takes two (or more) to tango and create this problem.

Regardless, they have and will do a fine job. Knowing them both they are a good balance...

Ya only go around once, best to enjoy it the first trip.

I don't know the moderators, met one of them one time.
In a strip club called the "Badda Bing" or something like that.

Seriously,
The Moderators are doing OK...
Only lacking in one area, (that would be taz), and sometimes a couple of his groupies (he only has about two... and I wouldn't miss them either).

You're right; it didn't take guts to make that decision; it was difficult and a long time coming because I just don't like to impose my standards on others. There are some on the board who seem to enjoy sparring over any topic available, and I would just as soon let them. It doesn't particularly bother me, which is why I let it roll so long. I finally decided that it bothers enough other folks that it had to stop. Also I feel obligated to read all of them to insure that the language stays acceptable, and lately I just don't have time to wade through page after page of it.

EVERYTHING's easy for the guy who doesn't have to do it.

well, seeing as the other thread was closed before I got back to it.... The purpose wasn't to arouse enough support or gett a petition together to Ban Taz. But rather to show that his request for Democracy could also be pointed at him. It's my opinion that Democracy on wether or not we can post something on thi sboard is abosuletly irrelevant. This isn't a Gov't owned board, this is a Privately owned board, and can be moderated as seen fit.

Oh and feel free to close this one too. It wasn't meant as any sort of Mutany, but rather a fair show.
