Has anyone mounted their winch solenoid inside??

I'm thinking of mounting my winch solenoid inside the jeep I know I'd have to extend the wires coming out of the box to go to the winch and probably the wires going to battery as well so I would go to heavier guage wire. Has anyone done this, when you get into that box is it just a confusing mess or are the wires just held on via stud (no not me) and nuts.

Please send check or money order for my bigger engine, drivetrain, axle, and tire foundation directly to me

I have my solenoid pack mounted the fender and the controller plug is mounted on my console. The wires going from the winch and to the battery are mounted on studs. The smaller control wires can be stud mounted or spade terminals. It is easy as replacing the wires and cables.

Yes, easy and clean.
My solenoids are under the hood, I have the controller plug mounted in the grill, with another controller switch on the dash.

When it came time to replace mine I mounted them on the fender. I put the controller plug down low inside the fender near the radiator. I always wanted a switch inside the cab and this was the perfect time to do that too. Its under the dash, out of sight. Good, easy upgrade.
