Pre Runner/ go fast shocks

I love playing in the woods but I also love blasting down 2 tracks at crazy speeds. The cheap white shocks on my bronco leave something to be desired. Anyone have any experiance with valvable shocks. I want to get the bronco riding nice in the fast stuff and powering through smaller whops. I know I have some other work to do with my steering/ suspension but It seems like shocks make the biggest differance.

I'm thinking 10" or 12" fronts (might go coilover if I find a decent deal) and 14's in the back, maybe air bumps, we'll see how much I make this summer. I'm not really sure exactly what I need for my bronco (v8-, full body, probably 4,000-5,000 lbs), I'm guessing 2.5's will be much better then 2.0's because it is pretty heavy. Are remote resivor shocks what I want?

Any thoughts on which brands to go with? I'm thinking i'll try and find a used set, used 14 or 16x 2.5 remote res shocks are going for about $400 a pair. Coil overs are going for aroung $600-$800 a pair with coils.

Any idea how you revalve/ charge then and what i'll need for that? Also how much does a re-build cost if a shock needs one?
