Any Uncut Fullsize axles on CJ-8 experience???

Does anyone have any experience with uncut full size axles on a CJ. Does the added width affect handling at speed (i.e. will the jeep be less stable going "fast" (ie 65 mph) in a straight line? It seems that by increasing the axle with without increasing the width between springs you would decrease straight line stability. Any real world experience out there???? Thanks

You're on the right track about straight-line stability, although it's less to do with the spring perch width & more to do with wheelbase vs track ratio. However, the extra width will probably help cornering, so it's sort of a tradeoff. We have a similar thread going on the Toyota pickup board (67" Dana 44 posted by Sean). You might want to read some of the comments there to see if any apply.
