Universal Mounting Tire Carrier

I'm thinking about selling these as a "DIY" mounting system...

Re: Universal Mounting Tire Carrier

Quality aside --- it's on the front. And pretty high. How do you see?

Re: Universal Mounting Tire Carrier

A little spray paint it would be hardly noticeable. A couple of lag bolts into the valve cover would probably help secure it.

Re: Universal Mounting Tire Carrier

That's pretty slick, but I think it needs some louvers on the open section to keep the wheel from overheating. So what is the widest tire that will hold?

Re: Universal Mounting Tire Carrier

It could double as a bar stool racer mount in a pinch. You know in case you didn't have enough bondo left after the tire carrier to fix all the 2 foot rust holes in your truck bed. Or if the JB weld that you used to hold your 18" wooden body lift pucks under the bed failed, and you were no longer in possesion of aforementioned bed.
