Re: Anyone ever put a powerglide in a cj?

Anything is possible....
The powerglide has the Small Block Chevy bellhousing so you will need and adapter....

But Why? When everyone is going for more gears, you want to go down to just 2?

I remember many many years ago when I replaced the third smoked powerglide in my 67 Camero with a TH350....good lord, talk about waking up the car....big difference....so, I can't imagine why you would want to do it....

Ok...lets assume you have a powerglide laying around....you will need an adapter.........

And I just had a look at Novak and they don't even offer an adapter for the Powerglide....that tells me that it's not even worth their effort to make one which should be a big warning to you to not try it either...
