TJ still down

I finally got a chance to work on the tj this weekend after months of seeing it sit.

Changed the wires and ran it up and down the road and all seemed well, then I took it for a longer run and wouldn't you know it, same old problem. After running for about 100 yards above 3000 rpm, the jeep cut out and went dead. I managed to get it started again for a short run to get me to a parking lot where I could come and get it with the truck and trailer.

I am now leaning towards one of the sensors in the throtel body primarily because almost everything else has been changed.

I used to have the procedure but I can't find it anymore, what is the procedure for testing the Sensors on the TB?

Re: TJ still down

This site is for an older cherokee so I'm not sure if it will work or not but I found another site (listed below first) that is for another chrysler engine and they seem to be the same so maybe it will work for all. Someone else correct me if i'm wrong. (TPS test about half way down)

Re: TJ still down

i have a TB laying around in a bag in my garage....

its from a 2.5L, but i have the idle servo from a 4.0....the 2.5L idle servo went on the 4.0L TB for my old TJ

you're welcome to have it if you can salvage some parts from it
