Speedometer drive splitter needed

The Jeep has the electronic speedometer, and now I need to connect a Halda twin odometer. Does anyone know of a device with one speedometer connection input and two outputs?

If I can't find one I'll have to spend big bux for a new VDO electronis sender with a mechanical output, if it's still available.

About half way down the page these guy's have a 8 pulse electronic sender that the cable continues through, for $40. Of coarse if neither your speedo or odometer need 8 pulses then this will not work. No luck finding a simple divider.

That may do it, but would be horsey to install. The VDO speedo doesn't care how many pulses it gets; it's calibrated by counting the number of pulses it gets in one mile.

Re: Speedometer drive splitter needed

Do you know what kind of signal the sender puts out? (i.e. what voltage, how many pulses per second max, etc.) Maybe a simple driver IC would do the trick.

Thanks, Mark

Like item #6?

Looks like the price listing is under miscellaneous part at $65.

Yep, that's what I've been looking for! But for about half the price I can get an electronic driver that has a mechanical drive output. I think I'll do that instead.

Thanks everyone!
