Key warning switch

This past Sunday I spent some time tightening the bolts in the tilt steering of an 85 CJ7 and when I was finished putting the pieces back together I realized I didn't install the Key warning switch. Honestly, before going through this process I didn't realize the jeep even had a Key warning switch. This made me wonder if the jeep actual has a warning buzzer and where the warning buzzer would be located. Anyone know if this was a factory option on the 85 CJ7 or was this same steering column assembly used on a different model jeep with a warning buzzer installed?
Thanks for the help!

Re: Key warning switch

That column isn't only used on other Jeeps - it's a generic GM column used on about half the cars in the country. If your Jeep doesn't have interior lights that come on when the door opens it won't have a key buzzer. If it does have one it will probably be on the fuse box.
