Info needed- 1959 Willys CJ 3-B ?

Hello, I'm new to the site & hopefully I'm posting in the correct thread ?
I'm wanting to buy a Willys as a project for my nephew and I to work on together. I'm looking at a 1959 Willys CJ 3-B.
I'm new to Willys & Jeeps and have several questions. They may be silly to you guy's but, I'm wanting to learn.

Is the "Willys Jeep" the same vehicle or are the separate as in "Willys" and "Jeep" ?

What is the CJ "3-B" mean ?

The engine- will it be the Hurricane, Super Hurricane ?
What cubic inch will it be, the 226 ?
"F" head ?
I red that in 1959, there was more hp in the lower rpm range. What should it be ?

What is the transmission, part numbers and gearing ?
What is the transfer case & numbers ?

Rear end- What is it & numbers, what gearing, axles ect.? Type of locker ?

Suspension- standard leaf spring & shocks ect.?

Steering- standard also, sway bars, ect.

He says it has a rare heater for 1959 ?
He said that all the suspension is new, not just shocks.

Any.........help, opinions and advise will be appreciated.

You may e-mail me at home. [email protected]

Kevin, welcome to the board! We're always glad to see someone save a flat-fender. A few guys here have older Jeeps and have access to more resources, so check back often. And if you do go forward with this project be sure to post pictures.
